Statement

„Markets may react on Monday, but it may well be a smaller reaction than some suggest.”

Claim checked: The Tribunal crisis will trigger only a limited reaction on the markets (zloty, bonds, Warsaw stock exchange).

Verdict: Unverifiable

What we found

This is a forecast that cannot be checked before markets open. The events at the Tribunal happened after the Warsaw exchange closed on Friday, and on 1 November (All Saints' Day) the exchange is closed. The first test is Monday 2 November: the exchange opens at 9:00 (Zero.pl). The author also explains in Money.pl that the zloty was already weak for global reasons and that Friday's drops in bank shares came before the escalation around the Tribunal. Another expert quoted by Zero.pl said the events "will not be a supporting factor" but also will not be key for Monday's session. Rzeczpospolita (11:06 entry) reports that analysts do not expect a sharp market reaction, with greater risk if the conflict spreads to the central bank.

Method note

We will assess the forecast after Monday's session on 2 November 2026 and update the verdict (correction policy: the old rating stays in the change history).
